Last month I took a work trip/mini vacay to California, which, in my opinion is a freaking awesome place to be. One of my favorite things in the entire world, which I experienced two years ago on a trip to visit my roommate in San Diego was an acai bowl.
OH MY GOODNESS.
If you haven’t tried one yet, you are totallllllyyy missing out.
What is an acai bowl?
Here are some of the typical ingredients:
- acai blend/berries/ berry packet
- fresh fruit: bananas, strawberries, blueberries, black berries etc.
- cocoa powder
- peanut butter
- apple juice
- almonds, crushed or chopped
- milk or milk alternatives (hemp, soy, almond, coconut, etc.)
And those are just to name some. It all depends on what type of bowl, flavor, area, or location.
Anywayyys, acai bowls are to die for. Not only are they fresh and packed with fruit and amazing berry flavors, but they have wonderful health benefits.
