The pressure to perform at peak levels (and look good doing it) is magnified in today’s world. The need to balance work, home, family, and new interests honestly leaves little time for anything else.  Because of this, many people put their health in the backseat as they prioritize other important aspects. However, there are ways to improve your health (that are easier than you think). From shifting your habits to making tiny, everyday choices, here are ways to live happier, healthier, and better.

1. Switch To Filtered Water

Toxins are everywhere, and many people fail to realize how many they’re ingesting on a daily basis. The source of many toxins, including chemicals and bacteria, is our water supply.

To protect your health and avoid unnecessary toxins, use a filter to switch to drinking filtered water. If you are worried about AFF in drinking water or other chemicals, talk to someone who can determine how safe your water is. You can also use a water pitcher if you don’t have a filtration system at home, but filtered water is better because it doesn’t have to be heated or go through additional processing. This is just one of the quickest (and arguably easiest) ways to improve your health.

2. Eat More Nutrient-Dense Foods

If you want to supercharge your body, you need to start fueling it with the right foods. What are nutrient-dense foods? These are foods that are high in vitamins, minerals, fiber, and other nutrients essential for your body to function optimally.

Healthy foods include vegetables, fruits, beans, whole grains, and nuts. These are packed with nutrients that will give you plenty of energy and help you feel great. On the other hand, processed and sugary foods like cakes and donuts might taste good, but they offer very little in terms of vitamins and minerals.

3. Take Time Away From Screens

Whether you’re an entrepreneur, freelancer, or someone working a 9-5 job, you will inevitably feel like you’re running out of time. And while you can’t change how much time you have in a day, you can change how you spend that time.

Finding time to switch off completely is crucial to building a healthier lifestyle. By completely switching off, we don’t mean sitting in front of the TV for a few hours after work. You need to take time to completely shut off from your work and the stresses of your environment. Getting off your phone or computer, ‘unplugging,’ or spending time in nature can help you reduce stress, improve your sleep, and allow your body to heal. It can also improve your relationships (both with loved ones and with work) because you’ll come back with a fresh perspective and new ideas.

4. Get More Sleep

Not getting enough sleep can have a significant impact on your health. You may not realize just how important sleep is, but it’s crucial for several reasons. Sleeping allows your body to repair and heal itself, which is essential for optimal health. It can also help you reduce stress, increase your metabolism, and even improve your ability to regulate your appetite.

If you feel like you’re always tired, it might be worth considering how much sleep you’re getting. It might also be helpful to look at your sleeping environment and habits to see if there’s anything that you can change to get more sleep.

You can supercharge your body with new energy and drive by making small changes that add up over time. There are simple ways to improve your health that will ultimately last a lifetime.
