I love love love cold sweet treats: popsicles, ice cream, sorbet, gelato — you name it!
But, the unfortunate part of all those sweet things is that they’re packed with sugar, carbs, and calories. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good to treat yourself once in a while, but there are other ways to enjoy your same goodies without all the crap. So…the solution?
Sweet Summer Popsicles:
What you need:
- 2 bananas (I love to use frozen ones for an even colder, fresher taste! Plus, if you use frozen it’s already cold so you can taste it right away or make a smoothie with leftovers!)
- 1 cup milk (I like skim the best!)
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt (you can use Greek yogurt if you’d like)
- 1 tbs. honey
- 1/4 cup pineapple chunks (frozen, if you’d like)
- 1/4 cup orange juice
Mix together in a blender until everything is smooth and there aren’t any fruit chunks. Taste, and add more yogurt or honey for flavor if needed! Then pour into plastic popsicle containers! Freeze and enjoy whenever!
