For the Pizza Lovers

Sometimes there’s nothing better than a saucy, cheesey, bready pizza. But the calories, right? It’s always those dang calories!

But what if I said there’s a way to enjoy your favorite pizza easily and at home?! And no, I’m not talking about the frozen crap.

A Make-At-Home-Perfect Pizza:

A Make-At-Home Perfect Pizza

Ingredients:
– 1 pizza crust [My favorite brand is Mama Mary’s, Thin & Crispy]
– 4 tbsp pesto sauce
– 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese
– ½ cup chopped green pepper
– ¼ cup chopped onion
– 1 tbsp minced garlic
– ¼ cup chopped tomato
– 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast
– 2 tbsp olive oil

For the chicken:
– 2 tbsp olive oil
– ¼ cup flour
– 3 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning

First, make the chicken. Pound for tenderness, then slice into pizza-bite-size pieces. Mix flour and lemon pepper seasoning together in a separate bowl and add more seasoning as you see fit (I like it really lemony!) Then coat the chicken in the mix and sauté with 2 tsp olive oil until cooked.

Next, spread your pizza crust with 2 tbsp olive oil. (This will help everything to cook better and more evenly!) Next is the layer of pesto. (I’m a pesto lover, so I’ll use more to have a stronger taste, but I’d suggest using around 4-5 tbsp.

Next, chop your veggies. Mix them together and add to the crust, distributing evenly. Add a thin layer of cheese. Spread out your cooked chicken pieces on top, and then your final layer of cheese.

Cook for 10 minutes on 400 degrees and check after 8 min! Your pizza is done with the crust is a crispy golden brown and all your cheese is melted! A great, healthy, just-like-the-restaurant-pizza!

*This is super easy to eat on the go! Cut your slices, then wrap in foil to take anywhere! I brought mine to my boyfriend’s soccer game and it made for a great game snack!
